Frequently Asked Questions

What is BodyTalk?

BodyTalk is a revolutionary form of alternative healthcare. BodyTalk does not attempt to diagnose or prescribe anything. It encompasses:

•    Western Medical Expertise

•    The Energy Dynamics of Acupuncture

•    Osteopathic and Chiropractic Philosophy

•    The Clinical Findings of Applied Kinesiology

•    The Insights of Modern Physics and Mathematics

BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body’s energy systems to be resynchronized so they can operate as nature intended.  When a body is operating at its optimal level, each system, cell and atom is in constant communication with each other.  Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, these lines of communication can become compromised, which can lead to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental health.

What specific conditions can BodyTalk address?

BodyTalk doesn’t focus on only addressing specific conditions - because that would be too limiting. BodyTalk looks at a person as a whole - body, mind and spirit and the focus is to bring that person into a better state of balance so that they can heal on many levels. The concept of BodyTalk is that it can optimize the health potential of each individual.

How does BodyTalk work?

BodyTalk can be used as a stand-alone system or can be seamlessly integrated into any healthcare system to increase its effectiveness and promote faster healing.  BodyTalk can be done in person or equally effectively as a remote session.

During a BodyTalk session, the practitioner facilitates communication with the Innate Wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular biofeedback.  After asking a series of yes or no questions, the client’s own body wisdom leads the practitioner to locate the imbalances. Next, the practitioner holds the areas that have been highlighted by the testing procedure and by taps over the head (brain), sternum (heart) and navel (gut) in order to assist the client’s bodymind in making changes, storing those changes, then integrating the changes. This process helps the body operate at optimal levels, which in turn accelerates the healing process.

Is BodyTalk safe?

Yes. It is safe for all ages and levels of health. It is non-invasive and gentle.

What is the minimum age to be able to receive a BodyTalk session?

BodyTalk can be preformed  on a person of any age, including infants. For infants and young children, it can either be done directly on the child or by using a parent as a surrogate.  BodyTalk may also be performed on an embryo during the session for the mother.

What can I expect after a BodyTalk session?

All clients experience an increased sense of well being, resolve, emotional stability, and peace. You will see noticeable improvements in many areas of health including your quality and quantity of sleep, proper digestion and elimination, and reduction of pain and discomfort.

As you begin to receive BodyTalk sessions, you will notice, among other things, a refinement of your internal compass for wellness and balance.  You will find yourself drawn to lifestyle changes large and small. Your body knows exactly how to heal and repair itself, and the experiences you will have are all a part of that process. The process will look different for everyone.  Healing can happen immediately and continue over the course of several months.

How many sessions before I see result?

Some clients will get visible results after one session, but I recommend a minimum of 3 to 5 sessions for full impact.

The number of sessions in a treatment course depends on the individual’s condition, goals, and responsiveness to treatment.  Some clients may require a several sessions to see noticeable improvement. With the guide of your body’s innate wisdom, we will know how frequently you need to receive BodyTalk sessions in order to address your concerns and goals.  The more BodyTalk treatments you receive, the more you will become aware of the subtle improvements in your overall health and wellbeing.
